Valentine’s day is more than chocolate and pretty dresses—but also about the tuxedo’s and fancy cocktails. Combining the two just got a whole lot easier with this classic cocktail recipe known as “Tuxedo”. This recipe is tailored for the person who loves a pretty drink with some dimension. Originated in New York in the late 1800’s, this cocktail still remains an essential for anyone familiar with the black-tie drink. 

With Valentine’s day here and fancy dining in place, grab your fanciest cocktail glass and celebrate love with a classic tuxedo. Here’s how: 

Serves: 1

You’ll Need: 

1 ½ oz Gin

1 ½ oz Dry Vermouth

¼ tsp Maraschino Liqueur 

¼ tsp Anise Liqueur 

2 dashes of Bitters 

2 Maraschino Cherries

First chill cocktail glass of choice in freezer for about five to six minutes. While glass is being chilled combine all ingredients, except cherries in a mixing glass filled with ice. Stir mixture. Remove glass from freezer then strain mixture into chilled glass. Garnish with maraschino cherries. Serve and Enjoy!
