How long have you been with Not Your Average Joe’s?
What is a typical day of work like for you?
A typical day for me includes providing help—while supporting all team members to be effective in their day to day operations; whether it may be adding a button to our POS register system or helping correct a delivery issue. I also deal with all food and beverage vendors and help facilitate Research & Development.
What is your favorite part of your job?
I love everything about my job. Being helpful and impactful but mainly the people, past and present. I have made everlasting friendships with co-workers and customers.
Why “Not Your Average Joe’s”?
Not Your Average Joe’s is my second family. When we opened our doors 25 years ago it was always about doing the right thing with a smile and having fun. When we weren’t perfect we made it right. When I started working for Not Your Average Joe’s I wasn’t old enough to serve alcohol so I started as a takeout host on Joe To Go. When I turned 18 I became a server. I helped supervise while I attended college and when I graduated from college, I was given the opportunity of full time management. I loved everything about the restaurant industry and decided to stay working in the restaurant, and soon became general manager. After I had my son, I moved to the corporate office as the food and beverage manager where I handled all purchasing and R&D for our beverage program. A couple of years ago, I took on the role of purchasing director where I currently handle all purchasing of food and beverages. When you surround yourself with amazing people and treat them right it makes going to work fun. Then just like that—in the blink of an eye it’s been 25 years.
Given your position, what is currently your favorite drink on the menu?
Moe Bubbles of course!!!
