Get Ready For The Best Blind Date Ever
We’re so proud to be partnering with Perkins School for the Blind in their BlindNewWorld Week (BNWW) social change campaign. We’re joining in their quest to help demystify blindness and break down barriers to inclusion. The goal of BlindNewWorld Week is to educate and inspire people who are sighted to open their eyes to the full social, professional and academic capabilities of the blind.
Participating? Get a free entrée with the purchase of a second entrée in all Massachusetts locations
During the week, BlindNewWorld will work with its partners to show how the sighted population can be proactive about breaking down barriers in employment, education, transportation and innovation. On Saturday March 11, we’re doing our part by adding a twist to the term ‘Blind Date.’ We’re offering sighted and visually impaired customers an offer of a free entrée with the purchase of a second entrée in all Massachusetts locations. Menus in braille will be available at NYAJ’s Acton, Arlington, Waltham, Watertown and Westwood during that time.
“This is such an important message from the Governor, Perkins and everyone involved in this effort to find inclusion and social change for people who are visually impaired. All of us at Not Your Average Joe’s and especially our Watertown location that has partnered with our Perkins School neighbors on numerous occasions are thrilled to part of this barrier-breaking ‘Blind Date’ night.” – Not Your Average Joe’s Founder and CEO Steve Silverstein
