On October 10th, 2016, we’re opening our newest location at the Northshore Mall in Peabody, MA. While we warm the ovens up at our pre-opening events, we’ll be asking guests to donate to a local non-profit instead of paying their bill. We couldn’t think of a better organization to represent the local Peabody community than the Frates ALS Resefrates foundationarch & Support Fund, and are so excited to announce them as our charitable partner.

After growing up in Beverly, MA, Frates became Captain of the Boston College baseball team and went on to play professional baseball in Europe. In March of 2012, he was was diagnosed with ALS, at the age of 27. Since his diagnosis, he has dedicated his life to raising awareness and funds for ALS research through the Fund, with the help and support of his family and friends. From the Ice Bucket Challenge to countless other events, the “Frate Train” is a passionate group dedicated to striking out ALS, and we’re so happy to be a part of their team.

Through the support of the local community and our Not Your Average Cause program, we’ve seen donations at past openings exceed ten thousand dollars. We can’t wait to see how much we can raise for Frates ALS Research & Support Fund.
